XP SP1 and IE6 SP!

Hi all. Please point me in the right direction if I am in the wrong news
group. I can connect to my ISP OK. I can ping web sites, but I can't load
the web sites into IE6 SP1. I have done a repair install of IE6 SP1, and a
fresh install of it both to no avail. If I install FireFox I can view the
web sites that I can't see using IE6 SP1. Ipconfig /all shows no obvious
errors and IE6 SP1 Tools connections appears OK. Anyone any clues? This is
driving me nuts. Thank you in advance. Please address any replies to the

Is your firewall allowing IE to access the Net?

Thank you. My firewall is provided by Norton Internet Security 2004. There is
no problem in gaining my email, downloading Symantec updates, or using
FireFox to browse web sites. Cheers and thanks Bert

There are 100+ free WWW browsers. No need to use just one.
 
Check the Firewall logs and your Internet Explorer Security settings.
