XP SMTP Server (How to)

Hi,

Does anybody know of any links that explain how to set up the smtp server on
XP.

I run Apache & PHP on my machine for developing and testing websites and
thought it might be handy to have a local smtp service to test any mail
functions without being connected to the net.

You need to find a smpt server that runs in XP. Xp does not appear to have
a smtp server in it.

However, Windows 2003 server does have the server.

XP Pro has an SMTP server as part of the IIS web server install.

I am unaware, though, of any particular documentation about how to set
it up other than that provided in Help with the IIS control panel
"applet".

Maybe something available at msdn.microsoft.com
