XP slow to start

Formatted our drive and reinstalled XP Pro. From the time the XP splash
screen pops up, until it reaches the log in screen, it takes over 3 minutes.
Can anyone explain how we can reduce this - when your waiting it seems like
forever! We have nothing else installed yet, it is a fresh install.

WindowsXP is a _nearly_ three year old operating system. You
probably need to download and install the latest drivers for every
piece of hardware that you have, starting with the mainboard.
