Hello all

By accident my stand alone computer boots XPO into a limited user account -
hence all options in USER ACCOUNTS are not diplayed - other than the limited
user options for password and picture changes. Add and remove pragrams,
virus control program etc., are also largely unavailable. I can find no way
to startr windows other than through this limit account. How do I restore
previous access (NB Restore system to an earlier date is also unavailable) as
I am not longer an adminatrator and can find no way to become one

Help Help Please !

Thanks

Hi Terry,

Which edition of Windows XP do you use? How many user accounts are present in the system?

In Windows XP Home Edition, you can login as "Administrator" via Safe mode. In Windows XP Professional, press and hold the SHIFT key when the Welcome Screen is about to be shown, in order to prevents automatic logon to the limited user account. When the Welcome Screen appears, select the appropriate user account and login.
