XP Shuting down

I had windows 98 on my Dell Dimension and installed XP
version 2002. I keep getting a error and (system shutdown)
when on the internet. NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM -system shuttng
down due to RPC. This is after 3-4 minuts connected. I had
the same thing happen while playing a game. Can't seem to
find any info in knowlege bases as it all referes to NT4.0.
I never had NT 4 on set.
