XP Service Pack 3

I tried to install the XP service pack 3 but a failure to
install message appeared with different error codes after
I tried 6 times to install. This is my first time to
encounter this type of problem since accessing Windows
Update. The last error code is 80131506. Anybody have
inputs on this?

update is trying to download SP 3 but I'm encountering a
Common Language Runtime Debugging error. Any comments on
that?

Service Pack 3 for what?
Windows XP has a SP-2 but no SP-3.
