Hi All. I have XP Pro w/ SP2. Recently, I will use search, 'Browse' 'to
find all (*.*) files in one folder. Well it does this and reports all the
files. But after this it will not stop searching the folder. It is very
frustrating as I'm trying to delete files, but I can't select any as the
'Search' function keeps on looking for files in the folder. Its like
'Search' is in a endless loop, keep on looking for files.

Anyone know how to fix this?

It's one of the "features" of XP's search. I fixed it by switching to a
different search tool, File Locator Pro. The company that makes this also
has a very good freebie called Agent Ransack. You can find both of these
products at http://www.mythicsoft.com

In my case at least, instead of *.*, leave the line blank: It
then finds all files in the folder.
Have SP2 installed.
But then, verifying that, I found *.* also works for me now!
It didn't used to prior to SP2. Hmmm.
