hi all,
this problem is driving me crazy! i've trawled the
internet, copious newsgroups, forums and KB's but can't
find a thing! :(
Problem: whenever a program attempts to access a folder
with 'thumbnails' set as the view option i get the
error 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library' with the
following text -

Runtime Error!
Program C:\(culprit program & location)
abnormal program termination

and I can't figure it out!!!
any ideas?

your help will be very much appreciated

kind regards
N Gibson

I think you left out the most important info........ what's the program and
location that causes it to crash?

it can be any program as far as i'm aware, it's happened
under messenger 6, wordXP, Internet Explorer 6, and even
Explorer.exe

it seems to be a deep rooted OS problem...

Try setting hidden files and folders to show and protected files and folders
to show, then delete any thumbs.db files and see if that helps.
