xp resolutions

is there any way I can set different resolution settings
for the different accounts that I use? does it depend on
the hardware that i use because I am about to upgrade my
computer?

I recall that there are utilities that allow for different res for diff
users. But what's available does depend upon the capabilities of the
monitor and the video card.
