We have the home version of XP. Our computer crashed last weekend. We're reloading our XP. We have the disc, but now that we're at the screen for the 25 digit code, we can't locate the disk cover. Yikes! It's registered to our phone number. We need to get the # from MS, from a 3rd phone (work), and I can't to anything that doesn't cost a bunch of money. Any clues?

Replacement of CD or Product Keys

To replace a CD or Product Key, you must contact PSS. To locate the
appropriate phone number for your product, visit the following Microsoft Web
site:

If the OS was preinstalled then there should be a sticker on
the tower with the COA number on it. If not you may be able
to contact MS with your registration information and they
may be able to help you.

The fine folks at microsoft.public.windowsxp.general NG
would be more knowledgeable on this as this is an XP
question, not an FP question.
