XP Reinstall

A few years ago I upgraded two different computers to XP home. One of
them just experienced a hard drive crash, so I need to put in a new
drive and reinstall XP.

The problem is that I don't recall which upgrade disk is which. Since
the machines are very different I gather this is important as the
registration is hardware sensitive to prevent casual
piracy of XP.

So the questions are:

1) How can I find the product registration number on the working
machine -- in order to determine which upgrade CD was used on that
machine.

2) Is there any other way of determining which CD was used on which
machine?
