XP Reinstall Drive Letters Wrong

After HD failure, new HD Win XP reinstalled and used backup from external HD

Drives are
A Floppy
C Local
D CD Read only
E Zip 250 should be DVD/CD R/
F Drive Image should be Zip 250 (ZIP disks open on this drive
G External H

The Zip drive actually is “Fâ€
DVD/CD R/W is actually “Eâ€

How do I renumber them to reflect what was and is there

How will the system recognize the correction and reflect the “new†actual

Any ideas welcome

right click........My Computer....manage.....disk management...

BUT...I do not recommend that YOU tackle this...by the very nature of your
actions and question....have someone , anyone , who knows what they are
doing straighten this out for you...OK.....
