xp registration relaps

I keep getting the registration reminder pop-up but when i click on it to register it says windows is already registered. But everytime i log on the days keep lowering but it keeps saying that windows is already registered. Finally my registration date expired and when i tried to log on and register it says windows is already registered and then kicks me back to the log in menu. What is wrong with my windows? I had to re-install xp and its still doing the same thing. Can someone help me please!?

Register or activate?

Not registering would not prevent you from using WinXP normally. Not
activating would.

If it's actually activating, start the system in Safe mode by hitting F8 at
startup and selecting it from the menu. Logon as administrator.

Start/run regsvr32 regwizc.dll
Then start/run regsvr32 licdll.dll

If this doesn't help try these steps:

Start/run regedit. Delete the following keys:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers

Exit the registry editor, restart normally.
