XP professional unexpectedly reboots

I'm running XP Pro on a HP Pavilion a250e. XP will
shutdown unexpectedly without cntl-alt-delete being
executed. Is there a fix for this? Thank you.
 
Rodney, rt click on MyComputer>select Properties>Advanced>Startup and
Recovery-Settings. Uncheck automatically
restart.
