Tom
I have a 98SE desktop wired to a Linksys Wireless-G
broadband router. Also have a XP Pro laptop connected
wirelessly. Both use TCP/IP, Client for Microsoft
Networks, and the same workgroup.
From the laptop, I can map to the files on the desktop,
yet I can not access the printers.
From the desktop, I can not access the laptop at all.
The network Neighborhood from neither computer contains
the other, which seems strange since the laptop can
access the desktop files.
On the laptop, dial-up connections have ICF enabled, but
not ICS. The LAN
or High-Speed Internet connections DO NOT have ICF or ICS
enabled.
After reviewing several postings on this chat room, I
have added a user account on the desktop that matches
what I am using on the laptop: no difference.
Any thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank
you in advance for your time and responses.
