Your argument of helping out friends and family who can't afford XP,
though altruistic on the surface, is just not valid. If they can't
afford XP then they should look for an alternative, i.e. Linux, Win
2000, etc.
It's not a monopoly (there are other options) nor are your rights
being taken away. Software is not a birthright. You paid for your
single-use copy, let everyone else do the same.
