Post back with a bit more information about the OEM version you have. Do
NOT post the product key! Where did you get it? Some OEM versions are
BIOS-locked and will only work on the machines for which they were
made; i.e., a Dell or Gateway. Also, are you trying to do a clean
install (deleting the partition, creating a new partition, formatting
the drive)? Give us more information to get some specific help.

Call This Number to Activate: Explain your problem,
Be nice ,but forceful. Don't take any crap. Ask for a
supervisor if you have a problem. Ask for their name.
Remember it's their Activation scheme, not your's, you
paid now it's up too them.

Call , 888-352-7140 and explain the situation.

You did read, of course, that the O/P has an O.E.M. version. Microsoft will
not be able, or want , to help him. He must call the place where he got the
O.E.M. version from and battle it out with them.

Greetings --

You need to examine the Product Key very carefully. It's awfully
easy to mistake a "B" for an "8," a "G" for a "6," an "S" for a "5,"
or a "Q" for a "0" or "O." Fortunately, Microsoft had the good sense
to leave the "1's," "I's," "O's," and "0's" out of the equation.
Also, be sure that your CapsLock if _off_ while entering the Product
Key.

If that doesn't help, you'll have to contact whomever sold you the
OEM license; Microsoft cannot help in this matter.
