Hi,
After I applied all 28 post SP1 critical updates from Windows Catalog to a
new XP Pro with SP1 install by using a batch file to run each patch EXE, I
noticed that each update created its own restore point in System Restore.
I'd prefer to have only one restore point before I start to apply the
patches. I created a restore point before I started, but I can't see it
anymore on the system restore calendar because of all the patch restore
points.
If I turn off system restore before applying the patches, I will lose the
restore point just created. Catch-22.
I have to do this on another system. Pray tell, how can I prevent each
update from creating its own system restore point?
Thanks
