I would like to know the "trick" to setting up WindowsXP
Pro SP1 on a striped volume. I have an Adaptec 29160 card
with 2 matched 17gb SCSI drives, new system with no OS.
Is there a way to do this with minimal difficulty?

To setup RAID level 0 first enter the BIOS and configure, then have
xp cd installed, boot to cd,when the press F6 text is displayed,
press F6,have the floppy disk available, then follow inst.

You can't setup Windows XP (or any other Windows for that matter) on a
RAID 0 (striped) or 5 (striped with parity) using software RAID. Your
best bet is
1, hardware RAID
2, RAID 1 (mirroring)
3, create a non striped system partition, and a striped data partition
