good morning everyone - here is a problem that two engineers (so far)
have been unable to resolve....I am running XP Pro and Outlook 2000 for
my mail.My connection is through a wireless LAN and I have a McAfee
security suite.

I am unable to view email in HTML and the drop-down in Outlook for
selecting this (open mail / format / HTML comes up 'blanked-out'

Tried reinstall / tried switching firewall and other filters off /
tried Outlook Express 6 (same problem).

Got someone round to look -turned out to be a butcher not a surgeon and
gave me all sorts of .DLL / MAPI / PST errors along the way.

Got things running again, apart from the non-HTML issue.

Now,there is every chance that I am being a 24 carat idiot on this one
and missing an obvious fix and I suppose I hope that you guys can prove
me right........have a nice day

Are you connecting through a business domain? If so, check with the
network administrator to see if there's a group policy in force that
disables HTML email viewing. There may well be, if the network
administrator is security-conscious, as HTML emails are a great tool for
spreading malware.

Post your question in one of the MS Outlook newsgroups where the Outlook
experts will see it (and no, I don't know the answer since I don't use
Outlook - sorry).

Here's one newsgroup and a list of all the MS newsgroups in case there is a
more appropriate Outlook group than the general one:
