XP Pro logout

Hi newsgroup.

I have since > a year an XP-Pro (+SP2) box with 6 users. When one specific
user, ME, logs out and the next tries to log in, just the music is played
and the box freez. The wallpaper is showed, nothing more (the Task Manager
will not show up)
I have cleaned it with AntiVir (was a winlogon and dc4.exe - NetSky.D.3) and
other tools. I can switch between the 5 users (logout/login) without
problems.
When I login to this specific user, are no other users afterwards allowed.
No domains/network - just a single box.
No messages found with eventviewer.

After a boot are the other users allowed.

Any idea how to approach the problem??

Best Regards,
Flemming

Most likely a profile problem. Login in as a local administrator (not
yourself) and make a copy of your named folder under Documents & Settings.
Next, right click on My Computer, choose properties, Advanced tab, click on
User Profiles. Delete your profile.

Log back in as yourself and it will create a new profile. Log out, then try
to login as someone else. You can then copy your desktop, favorites,
cookies, etc from your old profile to the new one.
