My CPU is performance in Task Manager is constantly running between 50 & 100%
of capacity. In checking Processes Running, I find AVSvc.exe is causing
this. I have Norton Firewall/Anti-virus, I have shut off Windows Firewall
and this process continues to consume my CPU, slowing everything down to a
crawl. I can turn this process off, and have done so, but as soon as I
reboot it's back eating away at my system performance. I would appreciate
any help. Thanks RonR

RonR,

This is wrong NG for your question. This NG deals with Microsoft Windows XP Embedded.
You may want to post the question to microsoft.public.windowsxp.general newsgroup.
