Is there a way to make an eval XP Pro accept my
purchased license key without a reinstall?

Boot your current XP Pro Eval installation.
Insert XP Pro Retail CD.
Run setup, choose to Upgrade.

You'll need to reinstall any patches or service packs you
had installed, but all data and applications will be
intact.

evaluation version is only for try and buy purpose it
does'nt accepts and product id key rather than supplied.
in tril version woolud not be able to install updates,

I have read this a half-dozen times now and it still makes absolutely no
