XP Pro edition Booting to the loggin Script it fails to let me in

Everytime I boot up and try to log on to my name and it says it is logging in
the comes back to same screen and says logging off and it continues to do
that over and over. I also, tryed to go to f8 screen and go to safe mode but
nothing seems to work. How do I log in?
