XP Pro crashes with HT enabled

Hello...my mobo, ASUS P4P800 Deluxe supports HT. My P4 2.6C supports HT. XP Pro supports HT. BUT, when I enable HT in my BIOS, my system crashes. Any ideas. I have the latest SP's installed. I built my system back in Jan, and it been doing this since then
I also have ATI 9600 Pro, 1 G mem (2 x 512)

Thnx Les....What is your recommendation based on? Are you assuming that HT was disabled when I installed XP? I can not say for sure, but the default on my mobo is enabled so I'm assuming that HT was enabled when I did the install. However, i will try the XP repair as you suggested

You need to enable the HT in the BIOS and then do an XP repai
install. The repair install will then install the correct HAL for th
HT to work properly.
