If i can stop it, the user can start the services later.
Any better solution as in registry ?
You've already been told ... remove the writer. If you don't need it in your
environment, then why don't you just remove it?

How was Thanksgiving?

My Mom, like many other moms of course, use to make her own stuffing. If
I recall correctly, for a month before, she'd save all the stale bread
in a bag, then soak it something and then ring it out, cut up those
parts that come inside the turkey and put them in the stuffing. Probably
added half a dozen other things, and then stuff the bird and bake.

What a treat, I'm sure many others know what I'm saying. Now you get
stuffing in a box. It just aint no where the same.

Ah....here we fry our turkeys in peanut oil outside, no stuffing. On the
side however, I cube day old French bread, roll the cubes in Italian bread
crumb and fry in garlic butter in a black iron skillet. :o)

We are in a domain environment.

Right click your CD/DVD burner within Windows Explorer and click
Properties.

From the Properties window, select the Recording tab.

Clear the check box beside the option to Enable CD recording on this
drive.

Click OK.

You want be able to do this XMAS though. Bird Flu is rampant and it
does not discriminate whether you are christian, muslim, jew etc etc.

Just stay at home and have xmas without the turkey or chicken or any
bords for that matter unless you are tired of life and microsoft
products!

Anonymous, I respect your technical expertise and fine input in
this forum, but I find myself in total disagreement with you about
the bird flu. Sorry 'bout that.

The bird flu is most decidedly not rampant! It's not even rampant
in Southeast Asia and China where almost all the cases have been
reported. Only some 65 people have died of the bird flu thus far.
Some 200 people are reportedly ill from bird flu in Asia but that's
not a number which should cause anyone to regard the bird flu as
"rampant".

Not one single case has made it to the US thus far, and nobody has
died from the bird flu in Europe, either. Nobody is justified in panicking
or in promoting panic among the populace. If Americans suddenly start
dying in the hundreds from provable cases of the bird flu, then it would
be wise to take precautions. In the meantime, enjoy Thanksgiving and
Christmas holidays (if you're so inclined) with your families and celebrate
the joys of the seasons.

I, for one, plan to enjoy turkey, quail, and chicken over the holidays. I
might even resort to eating parrots to demonstrate my contempt for
the imaginary bird flu pandemic panic. (Grin.) One stands a far greater
chance of being killed in an auto accident or from being struck by a
meteor than from dying of bird flu.

Hi

Set this policy on your domain controller (or on local machine) for users or
