XP Pro Backup - Restore to XP Home

I used XP Pro system Backup to save personal documents on one computer

The XP Home system Backup on another computer (ntbackup) won't restore any of the files

Any solution?

I am pretty sure that Windows Xp Home does not include the Backup utility.

XP Home does in the retail version include NTbackup, but
it is not installed by default (it does in XP Pro)
Many OEM XP Home CDs have not included NTbackup however.

What happens? Any messages?
Does it open/catalog the backup file?
Are you asking it to restore files or files with premissions?

You can find the NT Backup utility on your Windows Xp CD in
x:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP, where x is the drive letter of the CD holding the
CD.
Like Doug said, it might not be on your CD.
