XP Pro and Dual processors question

Greg

I have a motherboard that can support dual processors. I
am running Windows XP Pro. I want to add the second
processor but how do I tell XP that there is now 2
processors in the machine? I have seen how to so this
during install but after the install. I really want to
advoid reinstalling XP if I can help it.
Thanks,
Greg

I think you will need to do a repair install
per

First enable them in the BIOS, get the latest driver for
the motherboard, you might not be able to enable them in
the BIOS (different production serie) that is caused only
in the BIOS. seen before
then XP should recognize the second CPU and either give
you 2 or if you have HT 4

You can do this fairly simple with these steps:
1: Go to device manager and open properties on
whatever you have under Computer.
