XP PRO admin share seems to hide some folders, why?

I have an admin share (C$) from an XP pro SP2 machine to another similar
machine on my local network.

All seems to work well, except some of the folders (noticed in the My Docs
folder of the Admin user who's credentials I use to log in to the share
with) are not visible to the other machine.

Anyone any idea what this is symptomatic of?

The admin share is supposed to be just for local pc
Some directories are hidden even when using shares.
Try creating a second share on the C$ share rather than using that one.

Depends completely on Windows Explorer settings. The only difference between
administrative and regular shares is that the former are hidden by default
and available to Admins only. Do you use Simple file sharing?

Simple file sharing is off.

All folders are visible (and not hidden) on the local PC ("S"), sharing it's
C drive as C$. This is logged into it as an admin user "U").

On the same network is another machine ("C"). I browse to ("S"), logging in
as the admin user ("U"). Some of the folders on ("S") are not visible...

Anyone got any other ideas, please?
