XP Pro 64 compatibility issues

I just freshly installed XP64 on a new machine that I built. I am already
finding problems with compatibility on several programs, including Office
2000. I get "Internal Error 2324" when trying to install Office 2000.

Anyone have this issue or others relating to compatibility on XP 64?

I was told before I purchased the product that 32 bit applications run good
with XP 64.
