Xp pro 4G RAM - is 1G wasted with 32-bit?

Simple question: I have 4G memory installed. OS sees it all. Running 64-bit
XP Pro sees it all. XP Pro 32-bit only sees 3G of it. I understand why XP
can't address all of it. I also understand that some systems will see a
liitle more than 3G.

Is it correct to conclude that the missing 1G isn't / can't be used in XP
32-bit?

It's there, just not reported correctly by XP.

Do a Google search on BOOT.INI - you will find articles describing the use
of the /3Gb switch.
