xp prevent the opening of Pola Color insight

My operating system is XP Home premier with all the on line upgrades. I have
Polaroide sprint scanner that has been successfuly operated by Pola Insight
software for many years. Recently I tried to open the program, after not
using it for more than a year, but I got this message from microsoft :
Polaroid Photographic Film Scanning Application has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience
When I press for detail error I notice a list of 46 Modules, most related to
dll files. I reload the latest Pola Insight program froma reputable website,
but the same message appears again.
What shell I do

I would uninstall it completely, reboot, and reinstall it. If you still have
errors, check the event logs. You can also check with the software developer
to see if they have support forums or online documentation.
