Good Afternoon All:
I was wondering if someone who has XP Plus for windows would do me a small
favor. Apparently there is only one set of icons that I show for all 4
themes, recycle bin. I browsed the cd and searched for .ico, and behold it
is also showing just the recycle bin. I am wondering if I got a bad cd. My
favor is if anyone can browse their xp plus cd and search for ico and tell me
what they find. I called tech support and they can not help me, said I have
to call Dell. I called Dell and they said I have to call Microsoft. So now,
I am stuck, not sure where to turn. I also did a complete new install of my
system and still only show the 1 icon in all 4 themes. Any help/information
that you can give me is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Christine

Hi Christine,
I searched my plus cd for the recycle bin ico's,they can be found when
you explore the cd in the "Windows folder>Resources>Themes".

Hi MAP:
Thank you for the reply. I think I did not explain myself properly. I am
trying to find out if there are any other icons other than the recycle bin as
that is the only one that is showing up under any of the Resources\Themes.

Cut to the chase:

What exactly do you have?

What exactly do you want?

Hint, there is more than one way to skin your cat.

Thanks for the reply Slip:
Ok first please dont skin my cat, an egyptian is very expensive and very
hard to come by nowadays. LOL Ok: I'll get to the point. I installed XP
Super Pack Plus and the only icon that shows in any of the themes or anywhere
else for that matter is the recycle bin. That is the only icon that I have
for all the themes. No icons for "my computer", "My Documents", "My Network
Places". Someone told me and they could be wrong, that there were many more
icons in each of the themes. So I did a search for .ico on my computer and

Phew, there. I hope this makes more sense.

Your cat is safe.

Still a little cloudy -

It the case that you do not have the specific icons at all?
Or, you do not have icons which you expect to be associated with a
particular theme.

I'm still guessing as you write the "only icon that shows in any of the
themes or anywhere else..."

Do you have the default icons? The standard system icons?

I believe so..But, if not (you seem to be absolute in writing "No
icons") clear that up.

And, if they are *gone*...Are they only missing when you apply one of
the new themes? If you revert back to the standard theme, do your
default icons return.

(Again, that is if you have *no* icons in the new theme)

Hello Again SK:
I have all my "System Icons" yes. You know the Ugly ones that are listed
under C:\WINDOWS\system32\. This is all that I have pertaining to the Xp
Plus Themes:
C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Plus! Nature\Plus! NaRecEmpty.ico
C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Plus! Aquarium\Plus! AqRecEmpty.ico
C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Plus! da Vinci\Plus! DVRecEmpty.ico
C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Plus! Space\Plus! SpRecEmpty.ico
As you can see, the only icon that I have in all 4 themes is Yes the recycle
bin.

I have the system icons for my computer,my network places, etc. So I am
assuming that there are no "Special Icons" for windows plus xp pack.

I have downloaded a few different themes and they come with all the icons
for that theme.
I hope this does not confuse you more.

I believe you have all there is.

I posted last week as I found Plus! on a computer. It didn't seem to be
much, I didn't recall asking for it and would not have paid $30 for what
I saw. No, you get screensavers, cursors, a background...what else? It
looked like Luna (same colors) with a few add ons.

A while ago I built my own theme by changing the "pieces" that make up a
theme. No, MS does not provide anything nearly as radical as third
party desktop changes.

Depending which way you go...it can be dramatic. No, what you have is not...

Here are two sites which I was sent to:
http://www.belchfire.net/ [more links from here..]

http://www.appleblossomart.net/ [loads of graphics and more]

christine... if you want I can find the rest of the icons for you and upload
them so you can put them manualy in that folder.

If you want this post here.
