Hi all,
My Win XP installation has suddenly started to pause for around 5 minutes
before I get a mouse and another 5 before the task bar appears. For the
second 5 mins, I can ctrl-alt-del, and can see that explorer is running along
with around 10 other processes. I have tried boot logging and all I get is a
text file with a lot of 'Did not load driver x'; is this correct or should it
be loading all the drivers? It's a little wierd as I haven't installed
anything since this problem has started!

Thanks!
Angus

Another option is to do some clean boot troubleshooting.

Really slow boot times like this might also be a misconfigured DNS. If
the computer's got an Ethernet connection to a broadband router/modem,
try booting it unplugged from the network and see if that speeds things
up.
