If you install XP to a second partition (drive) and choose *not* to format
it, the 2nd installation will not affect the first installation's documents
and files
Hi. My drive does not a secondary partition. I've read that I could create a
new folder to put the instalation, so I kind of assume it will not erase my
documents. I'm right ?

No, I'm sure that Rock and I agree. Rock's reply "no" relates to a
normal parallel installation in a second partition, and his reply "no"
is correct. Pantera *later* clarified that he did not mean to a second
partition, but to a second folder in a single partition. That's a
disaster.

Agreed, I had assumed (bad thing to do) the parallel install would be to a
separate partition. Installing to a different folder in the same volume is
_not_ recommended.
To the OP use a 3rd party partitioning program to create a separate
partition for the parallel install.
