XP Overrides Default Printer

Hello All:

I have a local samsung printer. Under control panel I set the check mark to
make it the default printer. However, everytime I start up the computer, XP
sets an epson network printer to be the default printer. Very annoying,
especially when hitting the print button in Word and the epson's associated
computer isn't even powered on! Any ideas to keep my local printer default
setting permanent (until I change it manually)? Thanks.

I've been having the exact same problem with a networked Epson printer. XP keeps changing my default printer to that one. Has anyone found a solution to this?
