Hey all,

I am sure some of you remember the good ol' "www.dejanews.com"
before google bought it out... Well, with the old dejanews.com yu
could post stuff, then login and track your postings, there was a "my
recent posts", etc. section and everything. Now, with the new
googlegroups you can only find your old posts be searching for your
username - which is ridiculous. Does anyone know ofa website (i would
rather not use a software sever) that is free that acts like the old
dejanews.com did? Please let us know....

Thanks,

Matt

The *best* way to access is via NNTP (News) server and News client. Web front-ends pale in
comparison.

The following URL will take you here via your default News Client...

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

Hello,

Ok thanks for the response... I found a tutorial online on how to
set up microsoft outlook express. The example it gave was for a
windowsXP newgroup. now it game me a specific location to type in for
the "In the News (NNTP) Server box, type the name of your Internet
news server." step. Now, how to i find the servers for other groups?
For example, what is the NNTP for alt.magic.secrets? I am a little
confused...

Thanks,

Matt

Matt:

I replied to your email. I had to perform a search to reference the email back to this post
and I found it after I replied to the email.
