Here at our small office, we set up a simple hub, conected all the computers
to it and we were all happy. It worked without really doing anything at all...

But when we upgraded our main computer and it had XP pro on it, it started
causing trouble. we just replaced 3 new XP home edition computers and they
refuse to be able to access the the XP pro computer. says something about
that the computer doesnt have access rights. The XP pro can access that
computer...the internet is shared from the main computer and that works fine.
We just need to MAP that harddrive somehow. Everything I see to fix this
problem doesnt work.

the HD is Fat32 on all the machines. We dont have individual IP addresses or
users set up. We dont need that type of security. We just want everyone to be
able to access everything. Where is the key to this problem?! Help! Thanks!

You will still need to add your users to the system that will provide the
network mapped drive, Computer Manager, Local Users and Groups > New User...
Hope that helps!

Nothing I put into the new user works....doesnt like the object...and if I
try advanced...it doesnt list any computers ont he network at all. It all
worked so nice and simple before XP pro. Fianlly got the drive mapped doing
it by hand, but I still cant access the HD thru windows explorer. Makes no
sense

Enter the user name as "computer\user", where "computer" is the name
of the XP Pro computer.
