XP Machine becomes slow. Will it be a power supply problem ?

Patrick

I have been using an XP machine for a number of years.

I find that the machine is fast in the morning but sometimes becomes pretty
slow in the afternoon. I have tried to shutdown and start up the machine
but there is no difference. In this way, I believe that it will not be a
memory leak problem.

On the other hand, when I shutdown the machine at night, it becomes pretty
fast in the morning again.

I just wonder whether it will be a CPU / Power Supply or HD problem ?

Thanks

Either every logic signal is clocked correctly or the machine
crashes. Therefore each chip has sufficient voltage or it does not.
A power supply either provides sufficient power so that every signal
is clocked correctly, or the machine crashes - completely stops.

Your replies will only be as useful as information posted. To get a
useful (definitive) answer means posting basic facts such as
information from Task Manager, from Device Manager, from system
(event) logs, and results from the manufacturer's (provided for free)
comprehensive hardware diagnostics. The better informed can only
reply if you provide information that they require. Examples posted
in this paragraph.

A power supply does not slow computer execution. A power supply is
one reason why a computer may crash randomly.
