XP losing display color level

XP home SP2. Athlon 1200. .75GB ram. After clearing out some temp files and
doing a Registry cleanup with FIX-IT 6 utility, the display boots up in
lowest color (8bit) after a shut-down or restart. Have since uninstalled
vid. card driver and reinstalled (GeForce 5600 v 72.77?). Any ideas what to
do?

2nd problem: Flight Sim 2004 crashes after about 5-30 seconds. Freezes or is
just gone. Using a gameport joystick connected to a RadioShack gameport to
USB adapter. Is this likely the problem?

1st problem.
This is why automatic registry cleaners are a bad idea (and they are not
needed with XP anyway).

Does Fix-it 6 have a quarantine folder that it keeps the items it removes
in?
If so just restore all items via the fix-it program and then uninstall it.
