My new pc's with fresh installs of xp pro gave a dialog
to log onto the server first time with remember
password. Now they log on automatically fine, however
one of them had to change username due to conflicts. Now
that person is asked to provide password every time
without the option to save.

Any way of changing/removing old password so that new can
put in and saved?

I'm able to play with registry etc. if needed.

Thanks in advance

you may want to change to the classic logon prompt and change the password.
Then go back to auto logon.
