XP locks up on printing

I am having a big problem when I try to print an email
message in outlook express or a web page in internet
explorer. The computer locks up completely. I end up having
to reboot each time. It seems to print fine from all other
programs. Any suggestions?
BTW...I recently deleted all tempory files (disk clean up)
and emptied the recycle bin. Did this action have anything
do with it?
Any help or pointers will be much appreciated.

Sorry, I supplied some incorrect information...It locks up
on all print commands, not just in IE and OutLookExpress.

You have a problem with your printer drivers (most likely).
This could be because the files are damaged or you could
have a virus. It is even possible the printer or cable is
damaged.

Try re-installing the printer drivers.
