I am using Windows XP. Recently, it has been slowing
down and frequently locking-up. When it locks up,
nothing will do anything except turning off and turning
back on.

The lock-up can happen anytime ... even in the middle of
the disk scan after re-booting.

Any tips? Thanks.

Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance. Have you run a good virus scan and
some type of pop up ad removal lately? Have you done disk clean up to get
rid of unneeded files? Have you run defrag?

If not, do so.

Post back after that if you continue to have problems, or if you have
already done that.

I have done everything except defrag. I figured it would
take forever ... but I'll try it.

This goes double if it's your site, in which case you could (and probably
will) be cited to your ISP for spamming.
