XP keeps asking to install new device even when it is already installed. How to make XP shut up.

I have previously installed drivers for my HP printer.
Then I didn't use it for a few months. Now, everytime
I turn the computer on and the printer XP wants to
install the drivers. How do I make XP stop asking to do
this. I already have the drivers necessary to use it?
Thanks
Carmen
