I am trying to install windows XP onto my new hard drive
and everytime it starts to copy files to the drive it
seems to always miss some files while installing. i get
the option to press enter to retry but most times i have
to press escape therefore that file is not installed
which means that xp wont boot up. i have tried several
times reinstalling it or carrying out a new installation
but the same thing happens. please email me at
(e-mail address removed) if you can help me

Am having similar problem on newly built PC. Installed XP
on a known working PC and had no problems. Had bad HD that
caused crosslinked files. Also have been advised to try
different brand name of memory. Am waiting for replacement
memory and HD.
Good luck
