I picked up a computer with a bootleg copy of XP pro. How can I install a
new version of XP home or Pro?

You'll have to purchase a new "Full Version" of Windows XP Professional
and perform a "Repair Install" using the new Windows XP Pro CD and Product Key
that comes with it. (You cannot simply change the Product Key)

If you wish to install Windows XP Home Edition, then you'll
need to perform a "Clean Install" which requires a drive reformat.

If you get WinXP Home, you will need to do a clean installation. If you get
WinXP Pro, you can do a repair installation with the legitimate key.
