XP, IE, Netscape Conflict?

Installed XP, then Netscape 7.1 via download. IE runs,
but when icon for netscape selected, nothing happens.
Have tried reloading (install/de-install) of Netscape a
few times. Netscape is in list of web browsers for "Set
Program Acess and Defaults" and in Control Panel list of
installed apps (though no sizing info provided in CP)

Loaded Netscape 6.x from CD and it works.

Any ideas about conflicts between IE and Netscape that
might be causeing this? Would like to get both to run

Well, I'm not expert at this but try downloading NS71 using your NS6.x
not IE.

You are probably better off initially posting in a Netscape group - the
server is secnews.netscape.com and you will need to read it in Outlook
Express (or similar - there is no web interface for this). When you do, make
sure that the server port is set to 563

Tried that too. No success. I too thought that IE might
pose a problem with the competition. I share Bohr's
approach!

Thanks. Will try that.
