XP Home to Professional
Having upgraded from Home to Professional the automatic upgrades from the
Internet to Windows does not work any more. I am told it is because the
computer does not know if it is a Home or Professional version.
I have made sure that the language in both versions corresponds.

Please help.

Do you have SP2 installed?

Do you have version 2 of the Windows Installer installed?

Is Windows Update configured correctly?

Exactly what does "does not work any more" mean? What happens. If you
get an error message, please quote it verbatim.

I am told it is because the
computer does not know if it is a Home or Professional version.

That is certainly *not* the reason.
