Hi, I have miss placed my product key and dont have access to a Credit Card -
what can I do? Contact mew at: (e-mail address removed)

Use Paypal.

If you are serious and you still have XP installed you can use one of the
several XP Product Key finders to locate the key that was used during
installation. This one will do it
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml

If your system won't boot to the desktop you can still find the Product Key
with this self booting CD http://www.ubcd4win.com/downloads.htm It is based
on Bart'sPE you use the download to create a bootable CD that enables you to
boot the computer to an XP-like environment. The CD contains a version of
Keyfinder. Simply change to the location of the registry (C:\Windows) and it
will extract the Product Key.

Don't post your real e-mail address to newsgroups unless you enjoy spam.

It says I used the key too much -- what can I do now and I dont have access
to a Credit Card for Paypal

First you say you misplaced the key and now you say you are being told
you've used it too much. Which is it?

If you have the key simply use the option to telephone the Activation Center
and they will reactivate it for you.

If you are BS'ing then try again. Three times is a charm ;-)

The Windows 25-character Product Key (required to perform the
installation) is not on the installation CD in any way, shape, or form.
It is stored on the CD packaging on a bright orange sticker that says
"Do not lose this number." If it was an OEM (factory installed)
license, it's stored on a label that the PC manufacturer affixed to the
exterior of the PC case, or on the bottom of a laptop.

To recover a lost Product Key:

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

If it was an OEM license, you should contact the computer's
manufacturer; although very few manufacturers/vendors keep records of
the Product Keys they've sold, it's worth a try before you have to buy a
new license.
