XP Home: Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level

I have a Cable modem with two pc's connected. One PC has
XPPRO and the other XPHome.

I know that I have to change the LAN Access method in
order to set up Peer to Peer Networking between the two
machines. In the XPPro machine I went into "Local
Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\Network
Security:LAN Manager authentication Level" and changed
this to Send NTLM responses only.

XP Home does not have a "Local Security Settings" where
can I make this change in the XPHome Operating System?

There's no need (and in fact it is less secure) to change
this option.

How are your computers connected together, and where is
the cable modem connected?
Why do you think you need to change that setting, and
what have you tried so far to access the two computers?
